Luis Sousa – Associate Osteopath
Luis Sousa is a registered osteopath and recent graduate of the University College of Osteopathy. A former semi-professional footballer, his personal experience with injury and recovery led him to pursue a career in healthcare and sparked a lasting interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and athletic performance.
During his Master of Osteopathy training he gained clinical experience treating a wide range of patients — from athletes and older adults to individuals with complex conditions like HIV – developing a patient-focused approach that combines osteopathic principles with practical, hands-on care.
His background as a footballer informs his particular interest in sports rehabilitation and return to sport decision making, which formed the basis of his masters dissertation exploring the role of manual therapy in ACL rehabilitation in professional male footballers. Registered with the General Osteopathic Council, Luis is committed to delivering evidence informed osteopathic care that supports each patients individual goals. He brings a calm, empathetic presence to his work and is committed to delivering high-quality, results-driven treatment that supports each patient’s unique goals.
To further expand his therapeutic skills he has also completed a Level 3 ITEC Sports Massage Therapy course which he can integrate into his osteopathic treatment of patients.
